JOIN FULL EQUALITY NOW! DC
FENDC welcomes new members: all identities, all allies, all organizations, all who want to unite and fight for full equality NOW.
We're a grassroots organization that operates by consensus. Our members represent a broad spectrum of views and backgrounds, and we are all united in our determination to win full equality NOW for all LGBTQI people. We discuss and debate strategy, plan actions, work with other groups to fight for our rights, and vote on significant decisions.
We elect three members to serve on our Coordinating Team for three-month terms. The Coordinating Team are not the leaders of the organization, but rather serve as principal coordinators of organizational efforts and administrative work. Members not on this team have an equal say in our decision-making process to members on the team, and anyone can stand for election to the Coordinating Team.FENDC holds weekly meetings every Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. We welcome new members at any time, and invite proposals for action and requests for co-sponsorship from other organizations. If you would like to present or speak on a particular action or issue at our meetings, please email us ahead of time at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so we can include you on our agenda. If you're brand new to activism, we're here to welcome you into the movement and get you engaged in the fight.
Until the conclusion of EqualiCon on April 17, our meeting time is dedicated to our conference coalition for planning sessions. We invite all community members and allies who would like to engage with us in planning EqualiCon to get in touch or come to our conference meetings.
We operate two Google group-based listservs. To sign up for either, see the box at right.
- Our EqualiCon / DC-EAA listserv is for conference planning and general community information sharing. Subscribe to send and receive updates on what everyone's doing in the region, and get connected!
- Our FENDC listserv is for organizing actions and other internal organizational work. This is a HIGH TRAFFIC list!
You can also sign up to receive FENDC announcements when we're involved in an event or action - just fill in your email at right.
We thank the Metropolitan Community Church for providing meeting space for our group. FENDC has no religious affiliation. Details on where to find us are below.
