Full Equality NOW! DC is a democratic, non-hierarchical, grassroots organization dedicated to Full Equality for LGBTQI people everywhere. We commit ourselves to the advancement of:

• Full Federal Equality for all LGBTQI people in America, right now, without exception.
  
• Full Equality within the LGBTQI community, across all racial, gender, ethnic, religious, political, and socio-economic lines, and regardless of HIV/AIDS status.
  
• Full Equality for LGBTQI people abroad who are being oppressed on account of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

We were founded by the original DC Host Committee of Equality Across America that helped bring a quarter of million people to the October 2009 National Equality March in Washington, DC. But the march was just the beginning. In our short existence as an independent organization, we have:

• been instrumental in bringing awareness to the ‘Kill the Gays Bill’ in Uganda,
• begun forming alliances with other LGBTQI groups in DC,
• and started organizing for a grassroots informational and strategizing conference, EqualiCon, which will bring together advocates from all over the Mid-Atlantic Region.
